Singapore–Malaysia Residency Planning Review

One coordinated assessment. Clear responsibilities. Practical next steps.

Planning a move or changing how you work between Singapore and Malaysia? We bring the relevant tax specialists together around one set of facts, so you can understand the issues and decide what to do next.

Who this is for

An individual executive or founder facing a relocation or cross-border working change. This engagement covers one person, one defined change and one agreed tax year; acceptance depends on the facts and confirmed specialist coverage.

Cases requiring advice in a third country are paused, referred or separately scoped before proceeding. This is not a global tax assessment or a family-wide plan.

What you receive

  • Shared facts register: Relevant travel, employment, income, accommodation and business interests, with assumptions and missing evidence clearly identified.
  • Coordinated written assessment: Country-specific residence, treaty and tax questions assessed by the responsible specialists, with unresolved issues explicitly flagged.
  • Scenario comparison: The agreed plan and one feasible alternative, showing tax considerations, practical constraints and further work required.
  • Action calendar: Relevant filing, clearance and record-keeping steps, with named responsibilities and dates to confirm.
  • Joint explanation session: A 60-minute walkthrough with the lead adviser and relevant specialists, plus one consolidated clarification round within 14 days.

How it works

  1. Fit call: A free 20-minute discussion of your situation and timing; no personalised tax advice is provided at this stage.
  2. Paid diagnostic: We map jurisdictions and complexity, identify information gaps and confirm whether the case fits. You receive a written scope assessment even if you do not proceed.
  3. Planning review: Target completion within 15 business days after acceptance and receipt of complete information. Advice is attributed to named professional firms for each jurisdiction.

You provide requested travel history, employment arrangements, income details and prior tax records. Historical periods needed for the assessment are included in the information request.

Fixed fee

  • Diagnostic: Price on request, payable before assessment.
  • Complete review: Price on request, including the diagnostic; remaining fees split equally between kickoff and delivery.

Applicable taxes and additional work are stated in the quote. No retainer or tax-savings success fee; changes require your approval.

Clear boundaries and privacy

No guaranteed tax outcome or savings. Filing, implementation, immigration advice, disputes, company restructuring and complex trust/estate work are excluded.

Initial scoping can use a case ID with limited identifying information; identity and supporting records are required for professional acceptance and advice. AI may assist preparation, but named professionals remain responsible for the final assessment; third-party processing and access are agreed during onboarding.
